New Beginnings

Welcome to the Marks Midwestern Chronicles! This is the story of a few lifelong Southerners who suddenly ended up in the Midwest. It's a whole new world up here, but we're loving it! We love keeping up with our friends' blogs, and this is a great way for us to keep a record of our new adventures up here. A virtual scrapbook, if you will.

I want to remember our fun summer of lots of traveling, months "living" in a hotel between selling one house and buying the next and the great memories we were able to make. First days of Kindergarten. First big snows. First time apple picking. Lots of firsts to remember this year.

Pulling up stakes and moving to a completely new place has been a great opportunity to bring our little family closer together and has given us all some great chances to grow. We've gone from the completely familiar to the completely unfamiliar, and it was just the thing we needed! We do miss Memphis dearly, but we've seen clearly the Lord's hand in all of this and His provisions have been so sweet. I don't want to forget these days.
